Nick Hanyok

Founder of Styled in Pride

Nick Hanyok is a published wedding photographer and award-winning commercial photographer located in Seattle, Washington. He first came up with the idea of Styled in Pride in 2019 after continually hearing the trouble his gay and lesbian friends were having finding wedding vendors. Some being told “we don’t agree with your lifestyle” or “we don’t really want to attract gay couples” and “we really try to only work with traditional couples” etc.

Nick is an out and proud gay man himself and utterly baffled that this kind of discrimination still happens. He wants to do his part in making the wedding industry more accepting. “My goal with Styled in Pride is to prevent LGBTQ couples from having to ask if a vendor is gay friendly. We shouldn’t have to wonder or hope we are accepted, we should know immediately. Styled in Pride is my way of making the wedding industry more accommodating to the LGBTQ community.”
